Places to live in Jávea (5): Lluca

Between the municipalities of Jávea and Benitachell is located one of the most traditional residential areas in the area: Lluca. It was one of the first places to develop with the construction of chalets in the early 70s. It has always housed very beautiful villas, with impeccable finishes, with the predominant use of rough stone and dry stone walls as in El Tossalet. An element of character in the architecture of the Costa Blanca that we talk about in this post. An example of this is the imposing Casa Lluca and the access offices to the urbanization (see in the photos). You can see some of the houses for sale on the Lluca Properties website.

Lluca enjoys a magnificent location as it is equally remote and close to the population centers (Jávea, Benitachell, Moraira...) to have peace of mind but also access in a few minutes to all kinds of services. Also nearby is the Tossal Gross natural area, a protected area with large pine forests ideal for walks or bike rides.

One of the curiosities of the Lluca area is that here was where in 1904 the so-called "Treasure of Jávea" was found, whose name has been taken by the adjoining urbanization Tesoro Park. It is a set of gold and silver jewelery from the Iberian period, in which a diadem stands out, which was found inside a vessel and which is currently on display at the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid. A reproduction can be visited at the Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum of Jávea.

Another advantage of buying a house or building a new home in Lluca is that it is located right next to the Jávea Golf Course. It is an 18-hole course where it is possible to practice this sport almost all year round thanks to the good weather 12 months ago. It also has a prestigious restaurant.

In addition, it has relatively close access to some of the most impressive coves on the Costa Blanca, such as Moraig. A beach located on a steep cliff where an underground freshwater river flows.
