El Tossalet, a famous urbanization since its inauguration
If we talk about exclusive urbanizations on the Costa Blanca, the most important of them is El Tossalet in Jávea. In this area until the 60s there were some traditional buildings and fields of crops (vines, almond trees, carob trees...). It was in 1967 when a woman known as Doña Julia promoted the project to convert the territory into a large residential complex made up of isolated houses, mainly chalets.
Each owner could build a villa on his plot as in any other area. Of course, El Tossalet had to meet a series of aesthetic criteria. In fact, it must be one of the few urbanizations that has a meticulous book of its own style in which They make detailed urban and aesthetic recommendations.
Traditional architecture
These tips are intended to maintain the traditional architecture of Jávea in new constructions or in reforms that are being undertaken. The tosca as a fundamental element, the nayas, the use of dry stone walls... are present in practically all the houses that we find in El Tossalet. There Construcciones Cholbi is currently working on the project of a luxury villa luxury.
But this urbanization is famous not only for the landscape in which it is located but also because television presenters, well-known politicians, important businessmen have their second homes here... Some illustrious owners that have come to Jávea thanks to the fame that El Tossalet obtained since its very inauguration.
