The Portichol fishermen's houses that succeed on Instagram

Of the many landscapes that Jávea has, one of the most beautiful due to its peculiarity is the Cala or Playa de la Barraca or Portichol, the name by which it is also known. It is a small cove of boulders and rocks that is right in front of an island that also bears the name of Portichol. In a previous post we told you about the benefits of building a house in this incomparable area.

In the cove there are a series of small houses that were built by amateur fishermen from Jávea many years ago. They were used to store fishing gear and also to celebrate meals with friends and family on holidays. All the houses keep the same aesthetic: white walls and blue doors or openings, that is, pure Mediterranean.

Since the advent of social networks, especially Instagram, Cala del Portichol with its fishermen's houses has become a desired location to post a photo. Do you already have yours?
